"Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these other things will be added unto you." Matthew 6:33
At Annapolis Area Christian School, it’s not just education as usual with Bible classes added. The spiritual component of the AACS experience is integrated into everything that happens. AACS faculty teach students how to live a Christian life within our culture; how to connect what we believe with what we do, how to be leaders and culture makers within the Kingdom of God.
Every day, students are learning what it means to live their faith. They are learning about the gospel of Jesus Christ and God’s plan for their lives.
The education that is offered to students here is coherent because Jesus Christ "is before all things, and in him all things hold together" (Colossians 1:17). Our students take Bible classes, participate in our weekly chapel service, and engage one another through mentor groups, service opportunities, small groups, Bible studies, retreats, and more. These are all part of helping students to develop a relationship with God through Jesus Christ and with one another. Our relational and caring school culture make AACS distinctively different from other school choices. More than that though, it is the consistent application of the truth of the Bible to all of our students' curricular and co-curricular experiences that characterizes AACS.
All AACS students learn how to understand life from a biblical worldview. A worldview is the framework from which we view reality and make sense of life and the world. A biblical worldview is based on the infallible Word of God. It reveals the character or nature of God, creation, mankind, moral order, and purpose. A biblical worldview requires knowing what the Word of God teaches, and we make sure that happens at AACS.
Most of us go through life not recognizing that our personal worldviews have been deeply affected by the world. Through the media and other influences, the secularized American view of history, law, politics, science, God and man affect our thinking and our actions more than we realize. We teach our students to recognize and diligently learn, apply, and trust God’s truths in every area of their lives.
AACS students are our world’s future leaders in every walk of life – men and women who will impact the world, make a difference, and spread Christ’s love within their communities, professions, and families. It is the full integration of faith and learning that prepares them to understand, recognize, and achieve God’s purpose for their lives.
